POST ADOPTION SERVICES

Has your life or the life of someone you love been touched by adoption?

Individual, couples, and family counseling is provided for any personor persons whose life has been touchedby adoption. Counseling referrals are not exclusive to clients whose adoption was facilitated by The Baby Fold.

Therapeutic services may include, but are not limited to:

♦ Implications of a search
♦ Expectations
♦ Identity issues
♦ Relationship building skills
♦ Communication
♦ Depression
♦ Anxiety
♦ Family issues including co-dependency, addictions, and abuse

Therapeutic services are provided by a Master’s Level, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor with years of experience in the field of Adoption and Counseling.

Search
The Baby Fold will conduct a search related to any adoption facilitated by
The Baby Fold on behalf of an adult adopted individual, adoptive parents on
behalf of their adopted child, a birth parent, or a sibling of an adopted individual. Contact is facilitated between the parties involved after both have given informed consent for the exchange of identifying information. Counseling is provided
related to motivation, expectations, and identity issues involved in a search.

Consent from both adoptive parents is necessary prior to facilitating contact with or for an adopted individual under 21 years of age.

Mediation
Exchange of letters, photographs, and gifts can occur between the adopted individual, adoptive families and birth families through The Baby Fold when parties do not have an open adoption.

Fee Schedule for Post Legal Adoption Services
♦ Counseling fees are charged on a sliding fee schedule that ranges from $7 to $57 per hour.
♦ There are no fees for mediationservices.
♦ Fees for search are based on asliding fee schedule that rangesfrom $50 to $500.
♦ No one is denied service based onan inability to pay.
