How many people attend the Festival of Trees?

This family-centered event draws over 9,000 attendees and has raised over 2.7 million dollars in its 23 year history.  100% of proceeds from the Festival go directly toward serving the children and families of The Baby Fold.

How do I buy a tree at the Festival of Trees?

You may purchase all items in the “Enchanted Forest” at the buy-it-now price and take that item home after the Festival of Trees closes on Sunday.  Otherwise, all items are on silent auction during the course of Festival. Please review our Silent Auction Rules.

How do I attend the special events held at the Festival of Trees?

How can I donate to the Festival by designing a wreath, tree, gingerbread house or other decorations?

How can I become more involved with the Festival of Trees?

The Festival of Trees needs the support of over 750 volunteers to put on this wonderful community event.  We have positions from greeters to set-up and tear-down to committee members and designers.  Please visit our How to Help page.

Do I have to be present to win if I am the highest bidder on an auction item?

You do not need to be present, however, a Festival of Trees committee member must be able to reach you by phone or by text message on Sunday afternoon or leave a message for you through voicemail. Please make sure that the number you write on your bid sheet is the number where you can be reached or where we can leave a message. Be sure your message box is not full.

Please leave a cell phone number or a number where you can be reached immediately. When you fill out the bid sheet, you may leave a number of a friend or family member who will accept a message for you.

How do I get the item that I won?

You may pick up the item (other than 7′ trees) Sunday afternoon after 4:00pm. Please review our Silent Auction Rules

Is there an ATM located at the venue?

There are two ATMs at the Interstate Center – one in the Mini Expo building and one in the West Expo building.

How are the trees and the many other items sold at Festival of Trees?

All items at the Festival of Trees are on silent auction. Most items up for bid have a buy-it-now and/or a minimum bid price. All items that are not sold for the buy-it-now price at the close of the silent auction during the Friday morning Opening Day Breakfast will then go on sale via a continuous silent auction method for the duration of Festival or until the item is sold at the buy-it-now price. This means that for the remaining days of Festival, the public may continuously bid on these items or purchase them at the buy-it-now price. When you are at the Festival and find an item that you want to buy, identify a Festival volunteer and they will help you purchase the item right away. Bidding will close on Sunday, November 19, at 2:30p.m. Please review our Silent Auction Rules

Who provides the financial support for the Festival of Trees?

Each year, more than 100 businesses and individuals serve as Festival of Trees sponsors who provide the critical financial support for The Baby Fold’s largest fundraiser.  Additionally, many tree, wreath, and gingerbread house designers generously donate their time and talents to create the incredible items that are available through silent auction during the 3-day Festival. Hundreds of local businesses provide donations, services, and discounts for the event.  However, Festival’s success depends on the support of the thousands of people who attend the event each year.

When is the 2017 Festival of Trees?

The 2017 Festival will be hosted at the Interstate Center (Mini Expo and West Expo Buildings) at 1106 Interstate Drive in Bloomington and will be held November 17-19.

Friday, November 17 – 9:00am – 8:00pm (Opening Day Breakfast held from 7:00am-9:00am)
Saturday, November 18 – 9:00am – 8:00pm
Sunday, November 19 – 9:00am – 4:00pm (Auction closes at 2:30pm, Auction pick-up 4:00pm)

Will there be food at the Festival of Trees?

Yes, Longhorn Smokehouse will be the food vendor at The Baby Fold’s 2017 Festival of Trees! They will be located in the West Expo Building.
