The Baby Fold's Vice President of Development & Public Relations, Julie Payne, accepts the award

The Baby Fold has been awarded the first-ever Non-Profit Agency Excellence Award by the McLean County Chamber of Commerce.

Six Business Excellence Awards were presented at the Chamber’s annual gala, attended by 400 at the DoubleTree Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington.

Honorees included: The Baby Fold, recipient of The Pantagraph Non-Profit Agency Excellence Award; Sweenz Inc., recipient of the Next Professionals Micro Business Excellence Award; Cybernautic Inc., recipient of the Nicor Gas Small Business Excellence Award; YouthBuild McLean County, recipient of the Corn Belt Energy Green Business Excellence Award; Advocate BroMenn Health Care, recipient of the Snyder Companies Large Business Excellence Award; and Woody Shadid, recipient of the McLean County Chamber of Commerce Legacy of Excellence Award.

The Baby Fold’s mission is to improve the lives of special needs children and families through special education, adoption, foster and residential care and services aimed at preventing dchild abuse and neglect. The Pantagraph Non Profit Agency Excellence Award winner’s reach extends across 17 programs staffed by nearly 300 employees at four locations serving more than 1,000 children and families each year.

“The organization is making an enormous difference in the lives of children and families in our community,” said Rob McDade, Vice President for Financial and Brokerage Solutions at Country Financial.
