Community Involvement

The Baby Fold’s services are designed to benefit the local community as well as children and families throughout the state of Illinois. As stated in The Baby Fold’s mission statement, “The Baby Fold embodies Christian principles to serve children and families and help them build safe, loving, and healthy environments.”

Throughout its history The Baby Fold has relied on the support of the community. The Baby Fold is a long-time member of the United Way of McLean County. Hundreds of businesses and thousands of individuals contribute to the United Way each year with a portion of those proceeds supporting programs at The Baby Fold.

Individuals, businesses, and service groups generously donate their time in a variety of ways, including special events for The Baby Fold’s children, holiday gifts and food baskets for needy families, and work projects.

Several businesses have made generous in-kind donations to support The Baby Fold’s program operations. The Baby Fold’s recent capital campaign involved hundreds of individual and corporate donors.

The Baby Fold’s Festival of Trees was conceived as a way to involve the entire community in a family-oriented holiday event that would raise awareness of The Baby Fold and support its programs. The Festival of Trees creates a family centered fantasyland with one-of-a-kind beautifully decorated trees. Corporate sponsorships, generous donations, and the volunteer efforts of hundreds of individuals make the Festival of Trees possible the most successful fundraiser for The Baby Fold every year.
