In-service
training for teachers and other professional staff
serving children is available to school districts
and agencies. Hammitt School staff with
extensive expertise and/or training certification
are available to provide workshops in a variety
of specialty areas. Interested individuals
may obtain a list of training topics or may request
a custom-designed training program.
Hammitt
School staff offer child-specific consultation
to school districts that request assistance in
designing effective interventions for particular
children and their families. These services
are particularly beneficial with children that
have multiple disabilities and when the school
and family team need an outside party to help
them collaborate on a plan that will meet a particular
child’s needs.
Hammitt
School staff assist school districts, day care
centers, churches, and other child-serving entities
to shape their programming in order to accommodate
the needs of children with multiple disabilities.
Hammitt
School staff work with local school districts
in order to diagnose and develop educational and
treatment plans for children with a variety of
disabilities, including attention deficit hyperactivity
disorder, impulse control disorders, speech and
language disorders, and social emotional disorders.
